My First Time-Virgin Blogger

Everytime I need a moment of sanity or perspective, I hop online and google things like, 'How to survive 2 sets of twins', or 'Managing 4 children under 4'. I read others' stories and think, "It must be such a great release to gripe about your day or share a heart-warming experience without hearing judgement...or noise in return". Lord knows, I have enough noise in my house.

So, I am finally joining the millions of bloggers and journaling my daily (will probably turn weekly) life...just to get things out. There's not too many people who would understand or even begin to comprehend what it is like to have 2 sets of twins 3 yrs apart. My first set is identical girls, Carleigh & Teolin who are now 4 1/2. My second set is fraternal boys, Jack & Collin who are now 1 1/2. All conceived naturally, and no family history of twins on either side. Both pregnancies were planned, but we had hoped to have 1 baby at a time.

It is a daily internal struggle for me between feeling that it is just not fair that I couldn't be 'normal' and have 2 children, 2 different ages, and then feeling guilty for even thinking that since I have been blessed with 4 healthy, beautiful children. Why is it that it is so difficult to tap into the part of your brain that appreciates what you have. To draw on perspective. Anyway, I survive and maintain some sense of sanity by making myself aware of those less fortunate. I also remind myself how I would feel if I was without any one of my four beautiful babies. They are so amazing and full of life, all in such different capacities.

All 4 kiddos are napping and quiet now, so I'm going to sieze this wonderful opportunity of down-time.
